Raid on the God of Fear, Cazic Thule

Here is the raid force that we had with Lyrad leading the horde.
The God of Fear is ready to go to sleep for a while.

I haven't updated in ages and I'm bored at work....so why not? Nothing too exciting though.

Lofa's cousin takes a beating.

Open raid in The Deep

I heard words about an open raid forming and pretty much invited myself, oh well. It was my first time going to The Deep so I was quite excited. Here is who and what (trolls) turned out.

This was really interesting and fun. They had to take a mushroom, charm it, then fear it to lead us across an invisible bridge. It was pretty funny seeing everyone slowly creep single file across the bottomless depths.

Unfortunately the raid didn't go the way it should have. Here is what it looked like afterwords :(

FINALLY! Endless Quiver

Your boy Gaijin as finally gotten the single most important AA for Rangers, Endless Quiver. I forgot to get a screen shot of me getting the text saying I got it though. Now I just need another 18 and then I truck to 65.
Gaijin = happy

Destiny raid on The Avatar of War

This would be the largest raid I have been on yet. Everyone kept saying it would be really difficult to make it all the way through and vanquish The Avatar. I was REALLY hoping we could finish off The Avatar because he drops a sweet bow. Seeing as how I will be bowing up a storm soon (finally got to level 59) I had my fingers, toes, and balls crossed that the bow would drop.
Here was the big bad............thing himself. Only 1 tank died during the encounter so that was nice. He didn't seem to live up to the "difficulty" hype, but then again I wasn't healing, or tanking, or really doing anything except poking him with my crap weapons.
......and here is the big Daddy. The War Bow of Rallos Zek. This is what I was hoping for and it dropped, 2 of them actually. Jeanluc and I each got one. *funky dancing*

Small raid attempt on An Acidic Mass

For the few people who check my blog I have to apologize for not updating. I haven't done any raids recently so there hasn't been any material to post. Luckily today I got a tell from Gnostica that a small raid was forming. Here is the group we had, Cronsidius and Horikop both are members of SoY, the rest are from Destiny.

Here is everyone's favorite ranger killing the placeholder for the raid boss. You can see Punchem here, I often group with him or his other character called Buffem. You can often find Placer standing on the rock near PoK's main bank doing nothing.

Here is a shot of the Acidic Mass. They said it has somewhere around 800k hitpoints which is rediculous. We ended up wiping on the mob. I couldn't handle the area of effect spell that it kept throwing out. I died about 10 minutes into the encounter, others soon followed. Looks like someone needs to get better resists. I had to leave the raid due to Japanese class so I am not sure if they defeated the blob the second go around. Cronsidius is dead, I think that was his 3rd time dying at that point....silly necromancers.

Levels 55 to 59

So I have been having tons of trouble finding groups the past few days, PoV is always deserted. People have been saying this is the toughest set of levels to get and I'm starting to believe it. So close but yet sooooooo far away.
I like to have a picture in every post, so you can look at Kusobabaa. In Japanese Kusobabaa means something along the lines of "dirty old bitch"

Asian time zone raid on Zlandicar the Dragon

Gnostica has set up an "Asian time zone" raid for Sunday nights which I think is a fantastic idea. Our target was Zlandicar, a giant dragon that ended up pwning our small raid.

KBB getting aggro on Zlandicar

Full shot of the dragon. We couldn't handle the AOE spells that it was throwing at us. Luckily Gnostica was right there with an evac spell and we had only one casualty. Stay tuned for the next outing of the Asian time zone raiding party.

Raid on The Itraer Vius

After the wipe due to the pesky raid boss Shei and his minions they decided to go after The Itraer Vius. It was in the same zone so that was nice, nobody likes running around Norrath.

An action shot of the IV action :?
This raid mob went down with absolutely no problems. Probably made everyone feel a little better after the bad news that happened maybe 20 minutes prior.

A screenshot of the loot party. Everyone likes pictures like this, at least I do. I wouldn't mind a blog filled with shots like this. Good times. They went after another raid mob called VD after this guy (I didn't know you could battle venereal diseases in the land of Norrath). It was 5am in my time zone so I logged.

I got this mace during the raid. It wasn't looted from IV himself but from a mob on the way there. A range slot item came up in the IV loot and I was going to roll for it because it would be a huge help on my way to level 59 and the 20 something AAs I need until I get endless quiver. I realized though that someone else would get more use out of it and for a longer time that I would. I ended up passing on it.

Raid on Shei Vinitras

3 members of SoY (1 toon boxed by Oyuki) joined with Destiny for an attempt on the life of Shei Vinitras. I keep forgetting to move the mouse pointer out of the screen shot.

Here was the roster for the Shei raid. It was nice having Lyrad the ranger in my group. I had tons of questions and he was really helpful. I really appreciate the good people of Destiny and my guild SoY being patient with my raiding and general noobness. If this was WoW or any other EQ server nobody would be even blinking any eye at me. Al' Kabor is where its at!

Here is a shot of the group. There might be a few people missing from the shot.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here is the shot of us getting destroyed. There was a problem with the assists and we killed the fake Shei too soon. Don't know exactly how it was supposed to work but people started dropping like flies. If everything went according to plan I was going to get sacrificed to the raid mob because it death touches the first person it sees when it spawns or something like that. I don't mind getting sacrificed, worthless toon at the moment anyways...never got the chance though :..(

GM Event "Rescuing The Messenger"

There was a GM event today and I was lucky enough to be invited to it. It started just inside the Halas PoK stone. There was Shaman named Liam asking us to retrieve a captured messenger from Kael Drakkal. We assembled and went to find him. Hissitor was our raid leader and was calling the shots during the battle.

When we got there there was a giant named Abaris The Mean. It was obvious that this mob was actually a human controlled mob that was attacking everyone and couldn't be tanked by one person. He kept healing himself and there was nothing we could do about it. Eventually the GM decided to let us win and Abaris stopped healing himself. We then escorted the messenger back to the Halas PoK stone.

Here, Hissistor got to choose between three items. I took pics of the items but didn't feel like putting them up. Hissistor did a really good job of RP'ing during the whole raid as well. Was quite fun, I got some Halas 10 lb meat pies out of it too.

Plane of Valor grinding *rolls eyes*

Quite a good group. Toxic and Miuma were doing a fantastic job of tanking and healing so I was on easy mode. Just /assist and nuke here and there. Since all I can really do now at level 53 is offer shit DPS, it makes a worldly difference when the group has a good tanker and healer.
I won't be blogging about PoV grinding so don't worry. I just want to get in a shot or two of each zone I go to to level and/or adventure. The only time from here on out I post about grinding groups is if the group works exceptionally well together.

Tiny raid on Rhag`Zhezum

Here was the force that we had, 7 toons. No problems at all.
Group shot, yes I know....I use the old models. Deal with it.
Elleb and I. She has tanked on all the raids I have been on. Good work, おつかれさまでした
This is what I got from the mini raid. I keep getting told I need to get resist gear, so I rolled for it.

Doomshade

After Rumblecrush was vanquished they decided to go after Doomshade. It went flawlessly. Here was the raid force, 15 people and of course I was the lowest level XD

Notice the perfect action shot of the worthless ranger, genius I say. You can see Farce in this picture. I have been leveling with him since the teens in Paludal.
